The staff at the Harbin Clinic Department of Orthopedics works tirelessly to make sure your experience is successful. You may come into contact many different Harbin Clinic orthopedic staff members during your visit and/or over the phone. These wonderful people, while critical to our success, are too numerous to list individually.
Robert is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Orthopaedic Physician Assistant (OPA) and he has been working with Dr. Bushnell since he began at the Harbin Clinic in 2009. Robert has been working in Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine since 1995. He received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and a Masters degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In 2009 he graduated from the Emory University Athletic Training Residency Program. He has worked in many different settings of Athletic Training including: physical therapy clinic, AT clinic outreach, high school, college, and professional athletics, and as a university Athletic Training instructor. You will see Robert during your clinic visits, where he will obtain your history and perform a physical exam before you see Dr. Bushnell. If you have surgery, he will also see you the first day after the procedure to make sure you know what to expect while you are recovering.
Ashley is a Certified Physician Assistant and a native of Rome, GA. She graduated from Darlington School in 2006. She completed her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in 2010. She was a member of both Delta Epsilon Iota and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies. She graduated in 2017 from Augusta University with her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. She is a fellow member of Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA). Ashley has been working with both Dr. Bushnell and Dr. Anderson since she joined Harbin Clinic in 2017. Ashley received the “Best of Rome Physician Assistant” in 2019 and 2020. Ashley resides in Rome and enjoys traveling, running local 5K’s, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of First Baptist Church.
Pamela J. Hix has worked for Dr. Bushnell since 2009. She is native of Rome and a graduate of Coosa High School. She became a certified Medical Office Assistant (MOA) after graduating from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. She has 17 years of experience in orthopedics and 28 years of experience as an MOA at the Harbin Clinic. She is married with two daughters.
